McAvoy (speaking to Rick Santorum’s gay political adviser): So he only finds you disgusting when you act like a homosexual?
Wall: He doesn’t find me disgusting.
McAvoy: Yes, he does. And he also thinks you’re less than a man.
Wall: No, he doesn’t…
McAvoy: Our Declaration contains the words, “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” In order to arrive at the conclusion that homosexual love is something less than heterosexual love, you have to begin with the premise that a homosexual is something less than a man. It’s inescapable. And so I am asking you to explain to me why you would work for a man who believes that you’re inferior, that you’re damaged, that you’re ill, unnatural, a threat to children, unfit to serve in the military, unfit to be a parent, and unloved by God.
This scene was sooo good it actually feels weird to call it a scene from a TV show. It’s SO MUCH MORE than that.
