I don’t tell people about this but I have a secret alfajor stash. In which I keep alfajores, obviously (otherwise my family would eat them).
I know people outside Latin America aren’t familiar with them but they’re THE GREATEST THING EVER and I can’t believe it doesn’t exist in other places because, GUYS it’s the easiest thing ever: cookie, dulce de leche, cookie, a shitload of chocolate, and that’s it. BUT IT’S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT…somehow.
People here are SO CRAZY about them that there are all sorts of conspiracy theories about them and feuds over what’s the best alfajor.
I swear I’m not kidding.
I’d take pictures of my post-apocalyptic alfajores but then all you guys would be able to see is a blob of dulce de leche with random cookie crumbs all over.
