I am really bitter about Glee lately because as I watch it, I see the characters get these amazing opportunities for their future, with Yale and NYADA and such, and it just keeps reminding me that I’m going to one of the few colleges in the town I’ve been in my entire life, and that my family doesn’t have enough money to send me to those extremely expensive universities overseas (and neither do 99% of the families in my country, considering some can’t even afford to feed their children), and that as an 18 year old girl from a Third World country, stuck in my dirty, dusty and god-awful hometown, I am missing out.
And I keep telling myself that someday I’ll get a scholarship somewhere, or a really big opportunity, and most importantly, the courage to step waaay out of my comfort zone and become LEGENDARY and travel and meet interesting people and have the life I’ve always wanted, but I’ll have to learn to be patient and work my butt off because things won’t come as easy for me, or anyone, but especially for people like me and that’s a fact, wether I like it or not.
